Anodic Oxidation Enabled Cation Leaching for Promoting Surface Reconstruction in Water Oxidation

چکیده

A rational design for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts is pivotal to the overall efficiency of water electrolysis. Much work has been devoted understanding cation leaching and surface reconstruction very active electrocatalysts, but little on intentionally promoting in a controlled fashion. We now report controllable anodic Cr CoCr2O4 by activating pristine material at high potential, which enables transformation inactive spinel into highly catalyst. The depletion consumption lattice facilitate defects vacancies, exposing Co species reconstruct oxyhydroxides differ from CoOOH. novel mechanism with tetrahedrally coordinated octahedral configuration via non-concerted proton-electron transfer proposed. This shows importance potential modifying chemistry electrocatalysts.

Depletion of surface accumulation charge in InN by anodic oxidation

Si-doped InN layer by molecular beam epitaxy was subjected to anodic oxidation in 0.1 M potassium hydroxide KOH electrolyte and characterized by electrochemical methods to derive carrier profile at the InN surface. The obtained results were compared to the characteristics of a planar resistor structure and vertical metal-oxide-semiconductor MOS diodes with Ni-metal contacts on the oxidized InN....

Surface oxidation: a major sink for water on Mars.

Surface oxidation irreversibly removes both oxygen and hydrogen from the martian atmosphere at a rate of 10(8) to 10(11) per square centimeter per second. This rate corresponds to a net loss of 10(25) to 10(28) per square centimeter (10(2) to 10(5) grams per square centimeter) of H(2)O, if it is assumed that the loss rate is uniform over geologic time. Heretofore, exospheric escape was consider...

Ag/Pt Core-Shell Nanoparticles on Graphene Nanocomposite for Effective Anodic Fuels Electro-oxidation

The nanocomposite consists of the Ag as a core and Pt as shell on the surface of graphene nanosheets (Ag/Pt-G) was synthesized with a simple method and used as a novel electrochemical platform for an efficient catalyst for oxidation of the ethanol, methanol and formic acid. The morphology and electrochemical properties of Ag/Pt-G nanocomposite were investigated by TEM, X-ray diffraction, and vo...

Platinum Monolayer Electrocatalysts for Anodic Oxidation of Alcohols.

The slow, incomplete oxidation of methanol and ethanol on platinum-based anodes as well as the high price and limited reserves of Pt has hampered the practical application of direct alcohol fuel cells. We describe the electrocatalysts consisting of one Pt monolayer (one atom thick layer) placed on extended or nanoparticle surfaces having the activity and selectivity for the oxidation of alcohol...
